Livestock Quality Assurance
Nebraska 4-H has transitioned to a new YQCA platform in 2022.
All 4-H/FFA youth ages 8-18 members enrolled in beef, bucket calf, feeder calf, cow/calf, dairy, goats, sheep, swine, rabbit, and/or poultry, are required to complete a Youth Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) Training program in order to show at the fair. Youth may complete the training in one of three ways: online training course, in person training class, or test out.
Cedar County Livestock Quality Assurance Training & Herdsmanship Clinics - May 24 at 9:00 am or 1:00 pm, or June 7, 2022 at 9:00 am. Trainings will be held at the Hartington City Auditorium Basement.

4-H Live Animal Exhibitor Resources
See the Pre-Fair & Fair Resources webpage for the Cedar County livestock exhibit ID/Pre-Entry Forms. Complete an ID/Pre-entry form for each species of livestock you will be exhibiting at the fair and send to the Cedar County Extension Office by June 15th.
Livestock to be exhibited at the Nebraska State Fair and Ak-Sar-Ben will also need to ID their animals online, see 4-H Live Animal Exhibitor Resources for Nebraska State Fair identification and exhibit entry guidelines.

Livestock Achievement Program is designed to promote all educational aspects of 4-H livestock projects including selection, production, leadership, and exhibition by recognizing youth striving to improve in their livestock project knowledge and leadership.
