CUSTER COUNTY EARLY 4-H ENROLLMENT is $7.00/member for 2024. 4-H members are greatly encouraged to get enrolled by April 1. The statewide 4-H enrollment deadline is June 15. 4-H members who enroll by April 1 will have the best 4-H experience. They will be able to participate in club activites, work with project leaders to prepare for county fair exhibits and events, and be included in the county supplemental accident insurance policy. Organizational leaders will turn in the $7.00/member fee to the Extension Office by April 19, 2024. Checks should be made payable to: 4-H Activities.

2024 CHEMIGATION TRAINING DATE
Custer County Chemigation Training will be held on Wednesday, January 31, in Broken Bow at the 4-H Building. Session will be at 1:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required. Please call Nebraska Extension in Custer County at 308-872-6831. If you missed the training in Custer County, here are the Chemigation Training Locations still available.

2024 Nebraska Soil Health School has successful launch

The first installment of a planned 2024 Nebraska Soil Health School series was held on April 24 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln High Plains Ag Lab in Sidney, Neb. The event addressed the semi-arid Panhandle climate and potential management practices for soil health and had over 60 attendees.
Building Bridges in Conservation: Nebraska hosts inaugural natural resources workshop

Overlooking the iconic Platte River, over 100 natural resource professionals and students met to build and foster new collaborations at the first Natural Resources Conservation Connecting Points Workshop.
