4-H Enrollment Deadline: June 15
4-H members must complete enrollment by June 15 to be eligible to participate in the Washington County Fair or Nebraska State Fair for that program year.
Enrollment is available year-round through 4-H Online. Youth who complete enrollment after June 15 are not eligible to exhibit at the county or state fair during that program year.

Enroll New Members
1. Create Account
- Visit https://v2.4honline.com/
- Select "Don't have an account?"
- Input all required information: email address, family name (household's last name), mobile phone number, and password
- Select "Create Login"
2. Verify Address
- Enter your household's address information.
- Click "Verify". The verification process may require you to select an appropriate USPS format.
- Note: If you create a new account and an existing account is found, click "Confirm" and continue to log in using that existing account.
- Note: On the next screen, you may review your profile information and make edits by selecting "Family" or "Events".
3. Add a New Member to the Family
- Select "4‑H" and click "Next".
- Input the member's required information.
- Click "Next".
- Select the About You and Demographics information.
- Input the Emergency Contact information.
- Click "Next".
- Select a response for "How would you like to participate?"
- Click "Finish".
4. Add a Club
- Please ensure you are selecting the correct county, which will provide you with a list of the current Washington County 4‑H Clubs. If you are enrolled in multiple clubs, be sure to mark which one is the primary club.
5. Add Youth Projects
- This step is optional unless youth are enrolling in Horse or Shooting Sports projects, which will require project enrollment due to the parent/guardian consent required to be eligible for participation.
- Visit the Nebraska 4‑H Youth Projects Listing for help on selecting 4‑H projects.
6. Additional Questions
- Click "Show Questions".
- Confirm, select, or input additional information.
- Click "Next".
7. Health Form
- Click "Show Health Form".
- Input or select information.
- Click "Next".
8. Consents
- Click "Show Consents".
- Thoroughly read and sign off on the provided information, including photo release, code of conduct, & survey release.
- Click "Next".
9. Payment Selection
- The enrollment fee is currently set at $10.00 per applicant. Payment can be made either on 4‑H Online or by sending payment to the Washington County Extension Office.
10. Confirmation & Submission
- Once all information has been reviewed, select "Submit". The enrollment status will show as pending until the information is confirmed by the Extension Office. You will receive a confirmation email when the registration has been approved.
- If you are enrolling multiple youth from the same household, please follow the same steps as you did for the first youth until all youth are enrolled.

Re-Enroll Returning Members
1. Log in to Existing Family Profile
- https://v2.4honline.com/
- Remember, since you are a returning member, you will need to use the same email login and password as before. If you have forgotten your password, select "I forgot my password". Select "Login" once you have entered your new information.
2. Re-Enroll Youth
- Once you have logged in, you will be taken to your family home page. From here you will be able to edit family information, enroll existing members into the new program year, or add members of your family to your profile.
- To enroll an existing youth, select the "Enroll Now" in the right-hand column next to their name.
- To continue, select Grade for this youth, followed by the green Next button.
- Confirm Enrollment: "I'm confirming I want to enroll in 4‑H as a Youth."
- To continue, click the green Enroll button.
3. Add a Club
- Please ensure you are selecting the correct county, which will provide you with a list of the current Washington County 4‑H Clubs. If you are enrolled in multiple clubs, be sure to mark which one is the primary club.
4. Add Youth Projects

5. Additional Questions
- The next section will ask more demographic questions about the youth. This is also where you can select a second household to receive correspondence for this particular youth.
- School information is required in the system, but if you do not see your school listed, you can add your own.
- It is also required that you enter the year of graduation for the youth.
6. Health Form
- The health form is optional, except for one question regarding any life-threatening allergies. This question is near the end of the page immediately before the Health Form Consent.
- The health information is optional. However, if the 4‑H member goes to a 4‑H Camp or participates in state or national events, we highly recommend completing the health form.
- Click "Next"
7. Consent & Code of Conduct
- Click "Show Consents".
- Thoroughly read and sign off on provided information, including Photo Release, Nebraska 4‑H Code of Conduct, & Survey Release.
- Click "Next".
8. Payment Selection

Adult Volunteers
1. Create a Family Profile
- Visit v2.4honline.com.
- Click “Don’t have an account?” if you have never enrolled in 4‑H before using 4‑H Online. If you have had a 4hOnline account in a different state, please use your login information to sign into your account.
- Select "Nebraska" from the drop-down menu.
- Select your county from the drop-down menu.
- The email address will be used as the user/access id. Enter an email address you use and a password you will remember. There will be an option later in enrollment to add additional email addresses.
- Please enter the household "Last Name".
- Select "Create Login".
2. Enter Family Profile Information
- Complete the required profile information.
- Please enter the best number to reach you at.
- You do not need to change your password.
3. Add Adults to the Family Profile
- You may now add the individuals in your household. Select "Add Member".
- Now enter information for one specific individual in the household.
- You may choose to change the email address if so preferred.
- The asterisk areas are required. All other fields are optional.
- Please enter the number of years you have been a 4‑H volunteer.
4. Add Volunteer Enrollment
- Click Select Volunteer Types to indicate how you are planning to participate in the program throughout the year.
- At least one Volunteer Type is required during the enrollment process. You may add additional Volunteer Types later, if needed.
As a reminder, you will need to do both the Volunteer Screening and the Volunteer Orientation after submitting your enrollment application if you have not previously. The screening is good for 5 years. If 4‑H Online has your birthday listed incorrectly, please contact your County Extension office and ask for help correcting that. Sterling Volunteers uses that date of birth to do the screening. You will not be able to correct an incorrect date of birth yourself.
As of January 2026, the Volunteer Orientation is integrated with 4‑H Online, and now must be completed directly through 4‑H Online. All Volunteer enrollment applications submitted starting in January 2026 or later must complete the Volunteer Orientation training in 4‑H Online prior to their enrollment being accepted. Only Volunteer Orientation trainings done directly through 4‑H Online will be accepted going forward. The 4‑H Online Volunteer Orientation trainings are good for 3 years. If you have previously had screened, once you submit your enrollment application, 4‑H Online will automatically redirect you to the Volunteer Orientation Training. If you haven't screened or are needing to re-screen, 4‑H Online will redirect you to the screening tab first. You will then need to return to 4‑H Online after you screen and select the "Continue Trainings" link next to your name in 4‑H Online.
- Select the green Next button to continue.
5. Adding a Club and Projects
If you have selected to participate as a Project leader, you will be prompted to select a Project. Click Select Projects.
- Volunteers should add project that start with “Volunteer: Project Name”. These are found closer to the bottom of the project list.
- Shooting Sports Leaders MUST select their discipline from the Volunteer Project listing in order to sign the required shooting sports consent form.
- Horse Project Leaders MUST select “Volunteer: Horse Leader” from the Volunteer Project listing in order to sign the required horse project consent form.

6. Questions, Consent Form, & Code of Conduct
- The next screen is Questions. This includes About You, Demographics, Emergency Contacts, Military, and Other.
- Please review and sign all consent forms on this page. This includes our Activity Worker Guidelines and our Volunteer Code of Conduct.
7. Confirmation & Submission
- If all information looks correct, please submit your application. You will then be prompted to move to the next step, which is the screening process.
- Please note that until your enrollment has been accepted and all screening pieces complete, you will not be considered an active volunteer.
- Volunteers need to click on the button to go to screening to be automatically re-directed to the volunteer screening steps.
8. Volunteer Screening
- All Nebraska 4‑H volunteers must complete the 4‑H Volunteer screening process before volunteering with 4‑H in any capacity.
- All volunteers serving in a direct service role with Nebraska 4‑H are required to complete a criminal history background check. Follow the instructions to complete the volunteer screening steps. Ensure all steps are followed through payment until a confirmation page is reached.

About Us: Badger Buddies received their charter November 20, 2020! Our club leaders started the club with their two families. The club quickly grew and showed us that 4-H is STRONG, especially in the Bennington community. We usually have about 35 youth enrolled each year, with ages from clover to high school age (5-18). Our club meets monthly at the Bennington Library conference room. We ask our youth to volunteer for a demonstration at each meeting and another family provides a snack. As club leaders we try to have one project that our club members can enter at the fair. We encourage and assist youth with all project areas. We find ways to help around our community, this can be cleaning the parks, planting trees around the softball/baseball fields, flag drop box for our local American Legion, seed library to name a few. About Us: The Busy Bears were chartered June 6th, 2024. This new 4-H club in Blair meets every month at the First Lutheran Church in Blair. Our focus is on a variety of crafts and projects, such as art projects, knitting, baking, or recycling projects. We also focus on educational presentations by our club members and outside resources, such as photography, CPR skills, pet care, and diabetes awareness. We have done a variety of community service opportunities in the area. We are currently composed of 3 families, with ages ranging from Clover Kids to middle school students. We're excited to continue to grow!
