Diamond Clover Program
This program is designed to be a noncompetitive award program that recognizes 4-H’ers for their accomplishments related to Life Skill Development. The youth are encouraged to engage in a variety of projects and activities that will enable them to acquire life skills.
The program is designed for 4-H members ages 8 and up to begin at Level one and progress through Level six, one level per year, achieving each recognition level only once. Levels one through six requires participants to complete a specified number of accomplishments (or more) per year.
The requirement is for 4-H’ers to first complete the Nebraska 4-H Diamond Clover Plan. They should have their plan reviewed, obtain signatures and turn it into the Extension Office by June 15 at 5:00 pm. The plans will be reviewed and a copy kept on file in the Extension Office. The original will be returned.
4-H'ers will document their accomplishments during the 4-H year. The second part is to complete the Nebraska 4-H Diamond Clover Report that is due in the Extension Office on October 3 at 5:00 p.m. The reports will then be reviewed and compiled with the plans.
If the plan and report are NOT completed as required, they will be returned to the 4-H’er to give them ONE last chance to complete the process. Please be sure to notice the statement "Explain what you did and learned". Forms will be returned for corrections if these areas are not filled out completely.
Forms can be handwritten or typed and obtained at https://4h.unl.edu/diamond-clover.
