Purpose: 

Department Rules:

  1. Health Requirements - Ewes must have an official USDA (Scrapie) identification.
  2. This is in addition to 4-H Identification
    1. Weight and Identification of Market Lambs – Market Lambs will be weighed at fair.
    2. Market lambs will be dry, have all covers removed, and have been sheared within the previous 10 days.

Division 624: Sheep Showmanship

Division Rules:

  1. If there is enough enrollment to support a minimum of three youth per class, classes will be redistributed to the following: Junior Ages 8-10, Intermediate Ages 11-13, Senior Ages 14-18.
     
  • G626001- Junior Showmanship – Ages 8-12
     
  • G624002 - Senior Showmanship – Ages 13-18

Division 626: Market Lamb

Division Rules:

  1. The minimum weight for market lambs is 100 lbs

Division: Breeding Sheep

Division Rules:

  • G628050 Breeding ewe lamb, born after 1/1 of current year
     
  • G628050 Breeding ewe yearling, born after 1/1 of previous year and before 1/1 of current year.
