Nebraska 4-H is seeking three teens to lead the Ag Innovators Experience statewide. An additional 20+ teen facilitators are also needed to help present and promote the program. The challenge for 2022 is “Unlock Ag Innovations”. It will be a visually engaging, hands-on, and culturally relevant instructive escape room challenge for youth to learn about agricultural technologies.

Jesse Fulton, Director of Nebraska Beef Quality Assurance (BQA), will be presenting the latest on the Nebraska BQA program and certifying producers in BQA and BQA Transportation (BQAT).

These will be the last in-person BQA & BQAT certification trainings until the Spring of 2022. Nebraska BQA will resume In-Person BQA & BQAT Certifications meetings in March/April 2022.

Since 2014, a team of Nebraska Extension staff from several focus areas, including 4-H Youth Development, Learning Child, & Food, Nutrition and Health, collaborated to bridge the Collaborative Summer Library Program theme with 4-H resources.

We love our volunteers and all that you have to offer Cass County 4-H!

Nebraska 4-H has updated the volunteer application process within the last two years. This process was developed to provide protection for our youth and volunteers. Volunteers are identified as direct or indirect.

Direct leaders include staff, faculty, club leaders, lead teachers/presenters, studen workers, summer interns, chaperones, and any other adults and teens acting as direct supervisors or mentors to youth in a paid, unpaid or volunteer status, as part of a youth activity. Volunteers who enroll in ne.4honline.com every year complete this process as a part of the enrollment.

Hello everyone! My name is Connor Biehler and I am the new Beef Extension Educator with adult education responsibilities for Cass County and 14 other counties in southeast Nebraska. I am a native of south-central Illinois where I developed a passion for agriculture through my family’s operation as well as 4-H beef projects. My degrees include an Associates of Science in agriculture from Lake Land College, Bachelor of Science in animal science from Oklahoma State University, and Master of Science with a focus in cow/calf and sire nutrition from University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Prior to pursuing my master’s, I worked as a feed salesman in Oklahoma.
