Shotgun guidelines for 4‑H Fair Shoot
1) Youth must be 10 years old as of Jan 1 to participate.
2) Eye and Ear Protection Must be worn at all times
3) No Reloads allowed. 7 ½ -8 oz. Loads are to be used. 12 gage shotgun or smaller must also be used.
4) No open toed shoes in shooting area. (flip flops, Sandals, etc.)
5) Instructors, Coordinator or 4‑H staff have the right to disqualify anyone that is deemed unsafe or shows disrespect and not following the Code of Conduct.
Age Groups
Junior 10 yrs - 12yrs = 25 shots at 16-yard line
Intermediate 13 yrs- 15 yrs = 25 shots at 16-yard line & 25 shots at 20-yard line
Senior 16 yrs - 18 yrs = 50 shots at 16-yard line and 50 shots at 22-yard line
