York County Fair Policy Regarding Pets
No pets of any kind are allowed on the premises during the York County Fair. The only exceptions are as follows:
1. As a part of an approved entertainment program (such as Circus, etc.) or part of an exhibition or competition (such as Livestock and 4-H events) remaining only in the designated areas and meeting applicable health and legal requirements. All animals must remain under the control of the exhibitor at all times.
2. As service animals or service animals in training, properly restrained and identified and current with rabies vaccination.
Pets may be allowed on the Fairgrounds when the York County Fair is not in progress or when the Fairgrounds are not rented. Events may set their own policies on pets. All pets must be under control and are the responsibility of their owner or handler. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
York County Fair Smoking Policy
A smoke-free and vape-free policy has been adopted to protect all employees and visitors from secondhand smoke, to enhance indoor air quality and contribute to the general health and well-being of all employees and visitors to the York County Fairgrounds.
Smoking refers to the use of traditional tobacco products. Vaping refers to the use of electronic nicotine delivery systems or electronic smoking devices. These are commonly called e-cigarettes, e-pipes, e-hookahs and e-cigars.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted in York County Fairgrounds buildings, or under the “Big Top Tent”, during the York County Fair, and are only allowed outdoors.
The Grandstand is also smoke-free. Smoking and vaping are also not permitted anywhere in the Grandstand during events, however, it may be permitted at least 25 feet from the Grandstand entrance. Compliance with this Policy may be monitored during events held on the Fairgrounds.
York County Ag Society Remote Controlled Devices Policy (Summary)
York County Ag Society/York County Fair bans the use of all remotely controlled devices such as aircraft, cars, etc.
No remotely controlled aircraft or ground vehicle devices are authorized to operate on, above or below York County Ag Society property at any time without the express written consent of the York County Ag Society Board of Directors or the proper law enforcement authority.
This procedure includes, but is not limited to unmanned aircraft systems, radio-controlled model aircraft, other devices that can be operated in airspace and remote-controlled cars/ground vehicles.

York County Ag Society Free Speech Policy (Summary)
During the annual York County Fair, free speech activities may be allowed within the Fairgrounds, if the individual or group wishing to engage in such activity obtains a booth space pursuant to lease or rental agreement subject to the same reasonable terms and conditions as are applied to any other person leasing such space. Assignments of booth space will be made by representatives of the York County Ag Society in accordance with use and purpose of such booth. Booths determined to be obtained for the purpose of free speech activities, such as those dealing with Animal Rights Issues, may be assigned booth space in the Free Expression Zone, as defined within the Policy.
Booth Lessees shall not post signs, bills, cards, stickers, or other advertising materials on any vehicles in the Fairgrounds area, or any of the buildings, light posts, or other structures of any nature owned by the Lessor. Further, Lessee shall post no signs except those approved by the Lessor. Signs denoting ownership, proprietorship, or the name given to the place of business shall be permitted. Lessee may advertise at and distribute only from within the leased space. Lessee shall not solicit or personally promote to the public in any manner outside a 10-foot radius of the leased space.
The booth must be occupied by the Lessee, in person, during all open hours. Unmanned, display only booths are not allowed, except with written permission from the Lessor. Lessee will not share the booth with another party or allow another party to take over the booth space without the specific permission of the Lessor.
