3 - Office Closed for Holiday

7 - Pre-fair Clean Up at 6 PM

11-15 - Fonner Park State 4-H Horse Expo

13-17- Wilber Extension Office Closed- Office Moving to Crete Tuxedo Park Fairgrounds for County Fair

14-19 - Saline County Fair

20 - Post-fair Clean Up 9 AM

August

10 - All 4-H & FFA Animal and Contest entries due online for the 2026 Nebraska State Fair- 8PM CST/ 7PM MT

28 - Nebraska State Fair

September

7 - Office Closed - Labor Day

7- Nebraska State Fair Last Day

21-24 - Earth Festival (School Enrichment)

24-27 - Ak-Sar-Ben Stock Show

October

1 - ALL 4-H record books (including Clover Kid), scholarships, and award applications due

31 - Deadline to sign up for Lottery Pigs - 11:59 PM cut-off time

31 - Deadline to sign up for Beef Rate of Gain contest NEW (weigh-in date TBD)

February

TBD - Deadline to apply for 2025 Summer Camp Scholarship - 4:30 PM cut-off time

16 - Office Closed for Holiday

March

4 - Special Garden Project orders due to the office

6 - 4-H Council Senior Scholarship Application Due by 4:30 PM

14 - 2026 Nebraska State 4-H BB Gun Championships; 8:00AM-6:00PM (The state 4-H match is open to any 4-H youth (8 to 15 years old, 4-H age) enrolled in the BB Gun project.)

13 - Special Agronomy Project orders due to the office

22 - Lottery Pig Delivery Day at 1PM - Livestock Barns, Tuxedo Park Crete

23 - County Communication Contest Registration Due

1 - 2026 Diamond Clover Goal Sheets Due to Ext. Office by 4:30 PM

27-29 - Premier Animal Science Event, UNL East Campus

31- Camp Renegade Camper Registration Due

31- Camp Renegade Camp Counselor Mandatory Online Training Due— No in-person training this year

June

9-10 - 4-H Camp Renegade, Fairbury

15 - Beef, Goat, Horse, Rabbit, Sheep, and Swine ID forms due for county fair

15 - County fair static and animal entries due online (midnight deadline)

15 - Horse Advancement Level Testing complete for county fair participation - 4:30 PM deadline

15 - Premise ID Forms Due

15 - DNA envelopes due for all breeding and market animals & feeder calves for state fair. (PLEASE NOTE DNA CHANGES FOR 2026)

15 - www.showstockmgr.com nominations due for state fair animals.

15 - YQCA Completion certificates must be at the Extension Office by 4:30 PM

16-17 - Premier Communications Event, UNL East Campus Union
