JUDGING, SKILL, AND IDENTIFICATION CONTESTS
PREMIUMS: Purple, $5.00; Blue, $4.00; Red, $3.00; White, $2.00 (** Denotes NOT State Fair Eligible)
GENERAL RULES & ELIGIBILITY: 4-H members are eligible to participate in any of the judging contests regardless of project enrollment. While a contest is in progress, a contestant shall not communicate with others, except as directed by the Superintendent in charge of the contest. Participants will be informed of regulations at the beginning of each contest. There will be individual competition only on the 4-H judging contests.
AGE DIVISIONS (age determined as of December 31 of the previous year)
Novice Division (8-9-10)
Junior Division (11-12-13)
Senior Division (14 years & over)
Note: The FFA and 4-H Division will compete together in one contest.
DO-YOU-KNOW CONTEST
The Do-You-Know Contest is designed to help youth learn about issues related to family and consumer sciences.

HORTICULTURE CONTEST
The contest consists of three (3) sections: identification of plants, a class to judge and rank, and a written exam. Ties will be broken first on the highest identification score and then by the score of the judging classes.

LIVESTOCK JUDGING CONTEST
The Livestock Judging Contest will consist of one contest with five classes of animals (beef, sheep, meat goat, swine and horse). The Livestock Judging Contest will be held on Thursday, August 7. Everyone is encouraged to participate. Open to adults, clover kid members, and non-4-H members.
