NC1212 Multi-State Hatch Committee
The NC1212 "Exploring the Plant Phenome in Controlled & Field Environments" multi-state hatch committee visited ENREEC. The group included Purdue University, Washington State University, Michigan State University, and CIMMYT-India. Multi-organization partnerships provide leverage in research advances. By promoting advancements in phenotyping-related research, NC1212 seeks to coordinate the efforts of scientists and engineers from multiple fields to develop systems in controlled and field environments. This collaboration will help facilitate the creation of novel knowledge about the impact of genome and environment interaction on plant phenotypes. The end goal is to develop increased understanding of plant biology that will lead to increased productivity and sustainability of agro-ecosystems.

FBI - Ag Threats Symposium Visit
FBI agents, local growers and Precision Ag engineers visited ENREEC's Farm operations to discuss data security threats to production agriculture and some technological advancements the university is developing to address this concern. The Agricultural Threats Symposium starts tomorrow at UNL's Innovation Campus.

The 2023 The UNMC Central States Center for Agricultural Safety and Health collaborates with ag safety and health organizations and UNMC to offer the Agricultural Health and Safety Course for Medical and Safety Professionals every year over the summer. This course is designed to examine key health and safety issues specific to rural and agricultural workers and is tailored for those working in health care, public health, education, and safety professions. The annual visit to ENREEC also included 35 people attending virtually.
