The Nebraska Women in Agriculture program's book club offers a quarterly selection relevant to women in agriculture. We host a virtual discussion or presentation each quarter to further connect readers to each title. 

The Nebraska Women in Agriculture program has announced “The Turnaround: A Rancher’s Story,” by David Pratt, as the choice for its first book club of 2024, which will conclude with a virtual discussion at 1 p.m. Central time on March 21.

“The Turnaround” is the story of a ranch family struggling to make their ranching operation financially sustainable. The family is introduced to Ranching for Profit’s principles by a neighbor and begin a journey towards a more stable future.

Returning to the Farm 2024

Resources for Producers: In the briefing, Nebraska Department of Agriculture shared a January 17, 2024, Farm Service Agency press release focused on disaster assistance for Nebraska producers impacted by the recenter winter storm. Producers are encouraged to contact their FSA county office to learn about available programs and apply for assistance.
