 Animal Science Discover Day- May 29

 

All youth aged 8–18 years old are invited to the annual Animal Science Discover Day May 29, Wednesday 9:00am – 3:30 pm in Curtis, NE on the NCTA Campus. Activities will focus on several different aspects of various livestock production & careers. Participants will gain important life skills while attending seven different workshops taught by animal science teachers. There are several NEW topics this year including: meat science, calving simulation, horse IV, Livestock skillathon, quiz bowl, Zoonosis, Animal welfare, Ag Advocacy and more! Participants will be divided into junior and senior tracts so teachers can go more in depth with the older youth.

Rural Prosperity Nebraska Welcomes Newest Extension Educator

May 6, 2024
Ben Dutton joins Rural Prosperity Nebraska as the newest member of the community development arm of Nebraska Extension. While Dutton has lived throughout the Midwest and Intermountain West, he graduated high school in Wakefield and has lived in McCook for the last eight years. So Nebraska is home. Dutton will serve the west central portion of the state, including Arthur, Keith, Lincoln, Logan, McPherson and Perkins counties. Read below to learn more about him.
