Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sport Training Oct. 3-4
Why attend this 4-H Shooting Sports Certification Workshop?
• Network with other shooting sports instructors from across Nebraska. Share and learn techniques and knowledge which will develop your ability to effectively lead a local shooting sports program.
• Learn to use shooting sports to develop youth of strong character who possess effective life skills.
• Gain certification in one of the following disciplines: Shotgun, Rifle, Archery, Pistol, Muzzleloading, Hunting Skills, or Western Heritage. Learn under expert instruction and learn to develop your skills as an instructor.
What Gear to Bring
Participants will spend time both in the classroom and at their respective range during the workshop.

• Favorite Shooting Jacket/Vest
• Eye & Ear Protection
• Shooting Equipment in the following discipline: Rifle (air & .22) Archery (bow & arrows) Shotgun (2 boxes of shells) Pistol (air & .22) Muzzleloader (The need for personal equipment & ammo may vary depending upon discipline. All personal equipment should remain secured and under lock when not in use.)

Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor Update
Early Bird Registration Deadline: Sept. 23
Early Registration for Adults (By Sept 23) Fee - $140/person
• Early Apprentice/Ambassador Registration (By September 23) Fee - $120/person
• Late registration Fee (All) - $200/person Fee includes program materials and meals (lunch and dinner on Saturday). It does not include lodging.

YQCA Trainings for 4-H and FFA
Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) certification is required yearly for all 4-H and FFA youth participating in the 4-H and FFA livestock shows.
Age divisions for YQCA certification are based on 4-H member age as of Jan. 1.
Exhibitors are required to complete training and provide certificate copies (print or digital) to the Extension Office in their county by July 1.
Those who do not complete the training will not be eligible to exhibit livestock at the Perkins or Chase County Fairs or the Nebraska State Fair.

2027 ServSafe Trainings coming soon!
ServSafe® Manager is a nationally recognized food safety training and certification program established by the National Restaurant Association. This training provides the latest science-based information on food safety and best practices in the industry. This course is designed for food service managers and supervisory staff in restaurants, hospitals, schools, long-term care facilities and other food-handling establishments.
ServSafe® Food Handler is a basic food safety class for food service workers. The class consists of five sections: Basic Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Cross-Contamination and Allergens, Time and Temperature, and Cleaning and Sanitation. At the end of the class, a short test will be given.
Food safety is in the news and on the minds of many people. The ServSafe® Food Safety Program is developed by the National Restaurant Association to address the growing food safety concerns of consumers for the food service staff that serve them.
