Trout in the Classroom lesson was on the lifecycle of a Rainbow trout. Pawnee City School 5th graders created a Trout timeline illustrating the different stages as well as listing qualities specific to those stages. The students were excited to see their trout transform from their eye egg stage last week into their alevin stage.

Pawnee City Public Schools 5th graders received their Trout in the Classroom eggs today. The past couple weeks they have been learning how to calculate and visualize Parts Per Million (ppm) as they prepped their tank for their eggs. Students also used Temperature Units to estimate hatching date of the eggs.
