Clover Kids is a non-competitive 4-H program for children ages 5 to 7 years old (by January 1 of the current year). Children participate in hands-on activities designed to build lots of different life skills.

 Clover Kids at County Fair

The Pawnee County Fair is a highlight of many 4-H’ers annual experience. It is a community event, showcasing the talents and achievements of youth. Youth take part in shows and share exhibits that are the result of their project work.

Clover Kids may participate in county fair through:

  • Static Exhibits
  • Pet Show – Youth show a pet in the small arena and answer a few basic questions about their pet. Pets include but are not limited to dogs*, cats*, rabbits, bucket calves, hedgehogs, salamanders, etc.
  • Fashion Show –Clover Kids model a piece of clothing or accessory they made through the show ring and answer a few questions about their design.
  • Showmanship – Youth are divided by animal species and practice their showmanship skills in the ring. Animals are brought in the day of the show and taken home following the show, no livestock for Clover Kids will be stalled on the fairgrounds.

 * Require a copy of rabies vaccine to the office before fair.
