Knox County Round Robin Competition

Knox County Junior and Senior 4-H aged youth participated in the Round Robin Competition on Sunday, August 10, 2025 of the fair. The contest provides an opportunity for those showmen to compete for best all-around honors at the fair.  The Champion and Reserve Champion Showman from both divisions in horse, large beef, feeder calves, swine, sheep, and meat goats were eligible to participate.  Contestants took a test over the species they exhibited before the live showmanship of large beef, swine, sheep, and meat goats.  

The youth qualifying in the Junior division were Ella Jessen & Lauren Jenness of Bloomfield, Reid Nilson of Creighton, Maci Foxhoven & Layla Foxhoven of Crofton, Lilly Rader of Royal, and Dakota Vellek of Verdigre. 

The Senior qualifiers were Kaitlyn Byerly & Jase Johnson of Bloomfield, Dylon Nilson & Taylor Nilson of Creighton, Ellie Foxhoven of Crofton, Cade Rader of Royal, and Kayton Anderson & Haley Eisenhauer of Wausa.  

The overall winners were determined by their test scores and individual score in the live showmanship competition. Maci Foxhoven was the Champion Showman and Dakota Vellek was the Reserve Champion Showman for the Junior division.  Taylor Nilson was the Champion Showman and Jase Johnson was the Reserve Champion Showman for the Senior division. Champions received the traveling trophies and both the Champion and Reserve Champion winners were awarded a belt bucket sponsored by Rader Feed of Creighton.
