Department G, Division 50 - Bottle Goats
A bottle goat must be born during the current year but before June 1.
Bottle goats may be shown by any exhibitor 8‑12 years old. Also, an exhibitor may show a bottle goat in addition to other meat or dairy goat entries and they may carry the bottle goat project as many years as they want as long as they meet the age requirements.
Bottle goats may be brought to fairgrounds the morning of the show and taken home following the show. Exhibitors may stall their bottle goats on the fairgrounds the entire county fair if stall reservations were made by the pre-entry deadline.
All bottle goats will be shown together and will be judged based on the 4‑H member's project record book which must be turned in on entry day (one-third), their knowledge about their project animal (one-third) and the way the animal is groomed and shown in the ring (one-third). The conformation of the animal will not be considered in making the placing.
