The University of Nebraska is advertising for, and Extension Instructor Extension Educator in Water and Cropping Systems for Red Willow County located in McCook, Nebraska. The position is open to applicants who have obtained a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or closely related field. This position is based in McCook, NE with the geographic accountability region of Red Willow, Hitchcock, Hayes, and Frontier Counties. Primary responsibilities are developing and delivering water and cropping systems extension programming that: a) improves profitability and sustainability. b) reduces environmental risk, c) encourages stewardship, d) enhances resiliency, and e) expands consumer awareness of food, forage, grain, and fiber. The incumbent is an active participant in developing solution-based resources as a member of the statewide Water and Cropping Systems team. Applicant review will begin on May 8.
