Research Technologist I

The primary duties of this position will be to lead wind tunnel operations, research duties and report writing. The candidate will also assist with field plot research including spray drift management, pest management studies and pesticide efficacy studies according to established procedures and guidelines. Duties will include planting, spraying, data collection, harvesting, data entry and operation and maintenance of research equipment. This person will also be responsible for helping with greenhouse and laboratory research related to pesticide applications. Record data pertaining to experimentation. Operate research equipment, sprayers and trucks. Summarize experimental results. Communicate with the research manager, investigators, summer help, graduate students, industry professionals and clientele. Position will warrant the ability to obtain a Nebraska private pesticide applicators license within six months of hire.
