CLOVERBUDS - DIVISION 103                                   Cloverbuds - No Pre-entries for shows or indoor exhibits.

Cloverbud classes are for those ages 5 - 7 before January 1 of the current year and who are enrolled as a Cloverbud at the Extension Office.

CLOVERBUD LIVESTOCK

CLOVERBUD Bucket calves will be stalled during the Fair.

Reminder: All shows will be held in the following order: 4-H/FFA Show followed by the Cloverbud Show followed by the Open Class Show. 

NO CLOVERBUD HORSE SHOW OR SWINE SHOW.

Cloverbud are not allowed to show animals weighing more than 350 pounds. Animals appropriate for this age group include bucket calf – no bulls, sheep, goat, dog, poultry, rabbit, cat and companion animals. Mini horse can show. No riding event. 

CLOVERBUD BEEF, DAIRY CALF, SHEEP, GOATS & SMALL ANIMALS-No animals over 350 pounds.

Participation ribbons ONLY. 

Cloverbuds may bring their own beef, dairy animal, sheep, goat or small animal for that day or borrow one from county fair entries. (With owner’s permission).

Cloverbud Bucket Calf – No Bulls - steers or heifers only

CLOVERBUD Bucket calves will be stalled during the Fair.

Cloverbud bucket calves should be enrolled and turn in ID sheets by June 1.  Cloverbuds are encouraged but not required to exhibit a poster and/or record book. These are due to the 4-H office at noon on Wednesday July 30.

Cloverbuds are only allowed to show in Cloverbud classes. Cloverbuds are only allowed to show 1 animal per class.

INDOOR EXHIBITS

Class:

   901.   Horticulture or floriculture – any flower or vegetable

   902.   Animals - handmade-colored drawing of any animal.

   903.   Theater Arts – Homemade puppets. 

   904.  Photography - any picture taken on any devise, attached to a backing board, any size

   905.  Home environment - mobiles, name sign, finger painting, tissue design, crayon prints/pictures, collage with a theme, seed pictures, dough art items, fabric storage containers, any art project or wall hanging.

  906.  Cooking/Baking - cookies, brownies, no bake cookies, or poster

  907.  Models – cars, rockets, lego projects, kites, windsock etc. 

  908.  Bicycle Adventure – picture of yourself in bicycle helmet or on your bicycle, drawings of traffic signs with correct colors, bicycle safety poster

  909.   Outdoor Discovery – bird/bee house/feeder, insect model, steppingstone or weather/disaster poster. 

  910.  Citizenship – family celebration picture, poster, scrapbook page, family tree, photo memory box

  911.  Horseless Horse – handout available at the extension office or:  http://extension.unol.edu/statewide/stanton.

   912. Child development – any homemade toy for as child.
