YQCA - Youth for the Quality Care of Animals
Nebraska 4-H requires all youth enrolled in livestock projects to complete annual quality assurance training through Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) YQCA training is completed online through self-directed courses as well as Instructor Led training.
2021 Seward County Instructor Led YQCA trainings will be on :
- February 11 6:30pm-8pm
- March 16 6:30pm-8pm
- April 20 6:30pm-8pm
- $12 for web based online training
- $48 test out fee for Junior/Senior
- $36 test out fee for Intermediate
- $3 online fee for Instructor led training plus an additional $3 fee collected the day of the instructor led training.
Nebraska 4-H youth ages 8-18, who are enrolled in any of the livestock projects listed below are required to complete the YQCA online course annually. The deadline to complete your annual YQCA training in Seward County is June 15, 2021 to ensure that you meet the deadline for county fair exhibition. 4-H members who exhibit at the Nebraska State Fair or AKSARBEN will need to have their YQCA training requirements met by the date of entry for those respective shows if not showing at the Seward County Fair.
Youth enrolled in any of the following projects or project areas will need to complete YQCA training.
Beef (bucket calf, feeder calf, breeding beef, market beef)
Goat (breeding meat goat, dairy goat, meat goat)
Sheep (breeding sheep, market sheep)
Swine (breeding swine, market swine)
Visit the YQCA login page, (yqcq.org) to begin. Select "Sign in” and then “Sign in with 4HOnline" and select "Nebraska 4-H Youth Development" from the dropdown. Use your family 4HOnline login and password information to access the courses for the active 4-H members in your family. All 4-H members will need to use the 4-H tab and not the FFA tab even if they are members of both organizations. Only active members will show in the drop down menu for access to the course. You will have to search for the Instructor Led training offered for Seward County.
