Division 909 – Light Horse
- Horse Show will follow the guidelines in 4H373 Nebraska 4-H Show Judging Guide.
- Boots with waffle tread greater than or equal to 1/8” will not be allowed.
- No family members may use the same horse in the same event.
- No youth under 4-H age will be allowed to participate in any part of the 4-H Horse Show. There will be no walk-trot or lead-line.
- Horse Advancement Level Testing – Youth must complete a horse advancement level within one year. If a year has passed from the time the horse advancement level was started the youth must restart that level of testing.
- To compete in the Trail class at the Chase County Fair, participants must have completed Horse Advancement Levels I and II by July 1 of current year. Participants must have completed Advancement Levels I and II by June 1, of the current year to compete in specific classes at State.

Freestyle Groundwork – (ADDED 2025) This class is intended to demonstrate the bond and relationship the Exhibitor has developed with their horse. You will have 5 minutes to show the Judge what you and your horse can do with groundwork. Examples may include but not limited to walking through a trail course, a trick, jumping, lunging, bowing, sidepassing, backing or anything else you can come up with. May be shown with or without a halter. No riding.
