Shooting Sports in Cass County

The Cass County 4-H Shooting Sports Program is here to help youth to:

  • Learn to safely and responsibly use firearms and archery equipment
  • Find out about wildlife conservation and habitat improvement
  • Learn life-long recreational activities
  • Develop self-concept, character and personal growth

As stated in the Cass County fair book:  4-H Shooting Sports requires youth to be under the direct leadership of a certified 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor in either shotgun, rifle (bb gun), archery, pistol, blackpowder/muzzleloader, and/or hunting skills.  No firearms can be entered as an exhibit, however information can be shared through pictures.

There are various ways for 4-Her's to be involved through events, programs, workshops, contests, etc.   Check the website often for updates.

  1. The Nebraska State Extension website has valuable information.
