The Cass County 4-H Shooting Sports Program is here to help youth to:
- Learn to safely and responsibly use firearms and archery equipment
- Find out about wildlife conservation and habitat improvement
- Learn life-long recreational activities
- Develop self-concept, character and personal growth
As stated in the Cass County fair book: 4-H Shooting Sports requires youth to be under the direct leadership of a certified 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor in either shotgun, rifle (bb gun), archery, pistol, blackpowder/muzzleloader, and/or hunting skills. No firearms can be entered as an exhibit, however information can be shared through pictures.
There are various ways for 4-Her's to be involved through events, programs, workshops, contests, etc. Check the website often for updates.
- The Nebraska State Extension website has valuable information.
- Instructor Certification & Renewal Form (for youth to record their hours of instuction time)
