If you, or you know of a farmer that has been discussing applying for one of the SARE Farmer/Rancher Grant, there may be an opportunity to receive some funding to investigate an idea they have for their farm or ranch. Funding has increased to $15,000 for a single farmer or farm and up to $30,000 for two or more separate farmers or farms that are working together or experimenting together on a project. If someone has been thinking of a project or has an idea, there is still time for them to submit for this grant - the deadline to apply is December 2, 2021. The success rate for these type of grants is about 25%. If any one is interested in having Gary Lesoing come out and give a presentation about the Farmer/Rancher grant please contact him directly.
