York County Outstanding 4-H Youth
Due October 1st Please note, the deadline listed on the Achievement Application is for state submission only. Please follow the York County deadline of October 1st.
Youth who are currently in their senior year of high school at the time of application AND have been enrolled in the York County 4-H Program during the current 4-H Year are eligilbe to apply. Can be used towards 4, 2-year, trades degree, or training program. To apply fill out and complete the Achievement Application for the current year and bring it to the York County Extension Office.
York County 4-H Council Scholarship
Due Febuary 15th
Youth who have completed their senior year of high school AND have been active in the York County 4-H Program for at least 5 years. This $750 scholarship is awarded to one (1) youth who plans to attend a post-secondary school, 4-year college or university, or a vocational school.
Dorothy & Howard May Trust
Due February 15th
Graduating senior who is a current York County 4-H member and has been active in the York County 4-H program. To be eligible for this $750 scholarship, you must have been enrolled in a 4-H Plant Science area project for at least 5 years.
2026 York County Corn Growers Scholarship
Due January 15th
This scholarship is open to high school seniors pursueing an Ag Career. At the following link click on York County to find the local Scholarship application.
York County 4-H Camp Scholarship
Due One Month Prior to the Activity
This scholarship is for any York County 4-Her attending a 4-H sponsored camping activity. The scholarship will be in the amount of $25 for 1-3 and $50 for 3+ full days.
York County Scholarships
Jorgensen Family Memorial Scholarship
Due-July 1st
This scholarship is for any recently graduated youth from high school, who is a current or past 4-H member of York County. You must have exhibited beef in 4-H sponsored activities within the last two years. You must also be accepted to a 2 or 4 year college with any major. Applicants are eligible to be recognized more than 1 time if the criteria is met. The scholarship will be in the amount of $100. Applications must be turned into the Extension Office.
JD Hirschfeld Family 4-H Scholarship
Due-July 1st
This scholarship is for recently graduated seniors who have been active in York County 4-H. Applicant must be accepted to a 2 or 4 year college or university. The amount of the scholarship is $500. Applications must be turned into the Extension Office.
Wilber & Anna Schlechte 4-H Scholarship
Due-July 1st
This scholarship is for recently graduated seniors who have been active in York County 4-H program for at least 5 years. Applicants must be accepted to a 2 or 4 year college/university. The amount of the scholarship is $1000. Applications must be turned into the Extension Office.
State Wide Scholarships
Martha & Don Romeo Scholarship Due November 30th
One $500 scholarship to a qualifying male AND female 4-H Member, who are graduating seniors in the state of Nebraska and who plan to continue with post-high school education. Youth must have exhibited 4-H projects in a County Fair, or state fair, within the last four years; have a 2.5 GPA or higher; be attending a 2- or 4-year college or its equivalent; demonstrate support for your community; and exhibit a desire to achieve the goals to which you are capable of. Nebraska 4-H Foundation Scholarships Due January 5th
The Nebraska 4-H Foundation offers several scholarship opportunities for 4-H members. Applicants must complete the Nebraska 4-H Achievement Application, an expanded version of the York County Outstanding Senior 4-H Youth application. We encourage youth to complete the local application first. This provides an opportunity to receive feedback from the York County 4-H Council and strengthen the application before submitting the expanded version for the Nebraska 4-H Foundation scholarships. Youth who choose not to apply locally may still apply for the Nebraska 4-H Foundation Scholarships. Applications are due January 5th. Learn more and apply: Nebraska 4-H Foundation Scholarships
