2025 4-H Summer Workshops
Beginning Sewing w/Pillows (2 day Workshop) - June 23rd & 30th @ 9 am. - 12 pm.
- Ages: 8 to 18 yrs. old
- Cost: $25
- Location: LLM Extension Office (348 W. State Farm Rd.)
Beginning skills for sewing on a sewing machine will be covered. Youth are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine, but a machine can be borrowed for an addition $10 (call office to request a machine). Each participant will make a pin cushion and a 4x4 patch pillow. Participants should bring a sewing machine, basic sewing notions including a black and white spool of thread and bobbin, two pieces of felt any color, and 1/3 yard of 2 contrasting woven fabrics for their pillow.

Clover Kid Day Camp - June 25th & 26th @ 1 pm. - 3:30 pm.
- Ages: 5 to 7 yrs. old
- Cost: $25
- Location: LLM Extension Office (348 W. State Farm Rd.)
Explore what 4-H has to offer, create 2-4 projects to enter in county fair, and make a healthy snack. Choose the date that works best for you. (1 day camp offered twice)

Forestry Workshop - June 25th @ 1 pm. - 3 pm.
- Ages: 8 & up
- Cost: $20
- Location: WCEERC (402 W. State Farm Rd.)
Come explore the world of forestry. Learn about the parts of the tree and how they work together for a tree to survive. Youth will also learn about diseases and pests that can harm trees. Youth will have a finished cross section display, a 4-H project after the workshop. Fair entry information: *D320-006 Cross Section Display

Smart Cents Workshop -July 1st @ 2 pm. - 4 pm.
- Ages: 12 to 14 yrs. old
- Cost: $15

Youth will increase their ability to make informed decisions about financial health while strengthening their use of social and emotional skills. They will learn about their money personality, needs and wants, how to create smart goals, and explore different careers or ways to make income in this engaging class.

Rabbits, Rabbits - July 10th @ 9 am. - 10:15 am.

Leather Workshop (compact wallet) - July 15th @ 1 pm. - 3 pm.
- Ages: 10 & Older
- Cost: $30
- Location: LLM Extension Office (348 W. State Farm Rd.)
Learn to make leather craft all while creating a fold-able wallet with two interior pockets for ID, cash, or other important cards. Participants will learn basic leather working skills, including how to make a pattern using stamps or tools, all while carving a pattern in their own wallets. This compact wallet is great for keeping just the necessities. Kits include pre-cut and pre-punched leather parts, thread, needles, instructions, and patterns
