4-H Bonus Auction

Sunday, July 12th, 2026, 1:30 pm (Show Arena) 

  1. The auction is open to 4-H members (not including Clover Kids) exhibiting their animals at the Fair. You must sign up to participate by 2:00 PM on Saturday July 11th at the Show Arena Office and list which animal you will take through the auction
  2. Eligible Exhibits include:
    1. Beef- Bucket calf, Feeder calf, Breeding heifer, Market Beef
    2. Swine – Market Gilt/Barrow
    3. Sheep – Market Lamb
    4. Goat – Market Goat
    5. Rabbit – Champion Meat Rabbit only
    6. Poultry – Champion Broiler only
  3. The Sale order will be posted at the show ring by Noon on Sunday July 12th .
  4. An exhibitor is limited to only one animal. It is up the exhibitor which animal you bring into the arena.
  5. The 4-H’er must be present and bring their animal through the auction ring. Exceptions will only be granted for emergency situations, and then a substitute 4-H’er may be allowed to bring the animal through the auction ring, pending approval of the Bonus Auction Committee. 
  6. The 4-H’er should wear show attire or a collared shirt while going through the bonus auction. The animal should be clean and presentable.
  7. The 4-H’er will be responsible for collecting the bonus money directly from the purchasing business or businesses. A “Certificate of Appreciation” will be provided to the 4-H’er to give to the business, and they must also deliver a hand-written “Thank you” note. A picture of the 4-H’er with their animal is suggested, but is not a requirement. Also, please talk to the business owner/manager and ask some questions and learn some things about their business. Collection of the funds and delivery of the “Certificate of Appreciation” and “Thank you” note should be completed within one month of the conclusion of the Fair. “Certificates of Appreciation” will be available shortly after the Bonus Auction is completed. 

    Certificates must be picked up before you leave the fairgrounds on Sunday.
