4-B 4-H

  • Leaders: Troy & Jennifer Himmelberg
  • About the Club: Bladen Better Baby Beef (4-B) was established in the 1946 as a club primarily for Bladen children participating in cattle exhibitions. Remarkably, 4-B 4-H, with a continuous 75-year history of active participation, holds the distinction of being the longest-running active club in Wester County. Today, this club extends its services to all children in the Bladen area, supporting their involvement in various 4-H projects across different classes.

Webster County Jr. Leaders

  • Leader: Carol Kumke & Diane Karr
  • About the Club: The Webster County Jr. Leaders are a very active group that focuses on improving our community.  Past activities include putting on soup dinners with all proceeds going to the local fire departments, packing food for Hearts & Heads Against Hunger, helping sack and deliver groceries with the Salvation Army, having a booth at the Small-Town Craft show, helping with the Bladen Easter egg hunt, painting at the Blue Hill nursing home, and putting up and maintaining little libraries in surrounding communities.  At the fair we sponsor the boot scramble at the rodeo, help serve the BBQ on Thursday and Friday nights and help take the flag out on the rodeo arena on Saturday night.  We hope to have another Halloween party at the fairgrounds in October.  As a reward for all our hard work throughout the year we do something fun like going to the Henry Doorley Zoo or a STORM hockey game.We have approximately one meeting every month and we sponsor or help with several activities throughout the year.
