Please give attention to age requirements, as there are some restrictions. If you are planning on asking 4-H Staff for a Letter of Recommendation, please allow 2 weeks or more notice to allow adequete time to complete before the deadline.

Washington County Farm Bureau Scholarship

Due March 15 to address on application.
$1,000 scholarships available to high school individuals who meet certain requirements listed on the application. Download application here.

AKSARBEN Ag Leaders Scholarship

Deadline: December 31

The Aksarben Foundation provides one-time awards of $2,000 for Aksarben Stock Show participants with a demonstrated career interest in agriculture and related fields or professional careers in rural communities.


  • A high school senior, graduating in the Spring of 2019
  • Planning to attend a fully accredited 2 or 4 year college/university in the Fall of 2019
  • Has participated in the Aksarben Stock Show for 3 years or more
  • Has never participated in the Aksarben Buyer's Club Purple Ribbon Auction
  • Has never been disqualified for any reason from the Aksarben Stock Show
  • Only eligble for one $2,000 scholarship award

NACEB Scholarship

Due March 15 via online application.
The Nebraska Association of County Extension Boards (NACEB) has scholarships available that include: One $1,000 scholarship at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) or in the College of Education and Human Sciences (CEHS) for an incoming student (freshmen or transfer student), or One $1,000 scholarship for a current student (sophomore or higher) enrolled in CASNR or CEHS. Nebraska Cattlemen Foundation Scholarship

Due March 15, 2019

Washington County 4-H Camp Scholarships

Due March 15 to the Nebraska Extension-Washington County office by 5pm.
The Washington County 4-H Council sponsors 4-H Camp scholarships for 4-H'ers interested in attending a Nebraska 4-H Summer Camp. Scholarship amounts are as follows: $20 for Clover Kid recipients, $50 for recipients who did not complete a 2018 Career Portfolio, and $100 for recipients completed a 2018 Career Portfolio.

Area County Farm Bureaus' Scholarships

The Washington County Farm Bureau has four (4) $1,000 scholarships available for graduating high school seniors. Applications are due March 4, 2018. Click here for more information.

The Douglas County Farm Bureau has four (4) $2,000 scholarships available for graduating high school seniors pursuing an ag-related field, that have been members of Douglas County Farm Bureau for three years. Contact Darleen Tonack at (402) 991-1433 or Applications are due April 1.

I Dare You Leadership Award & Scholarship

Due November 1 to Nebraska Extension in Washington County Office
The I Dare You Leadership Award is not a contest or competition. The Nebraska Extension 4-H staff has the opportunity to select up to two nominees based on the nomination submitted (by November 1). The Award should be provided to juniors or seniors without regard to race, sex, religion, or national origin. The Award is offered as recognition for personal integrity, balanced living, and motivation for leadership.

Martha and Don Romeo Scholarship 

Due November 30, 2018 to Nebraska Extension in Washington County Office
The Nebraska Association of Fair Managers will award a $500 scholarship to one qualifying 4-H male and a $500 scholarship to one qualifying 4-H female who are graduating seniors in the State of Nebraska and who plan to continue with post high school education. The scholarship will be awarded at the annual NAFM convention in January.

Nebraska 4-H Foundation "Club of the Month" Award

Due the second Friday of every month.
Nominate your club for Nebraska 4-H Club of the Month! The Nebraska 4-H Foundation and Nebraska 4-H Ambassadors have joined together to start a program which recognizes 4-H clubs throughout the state of Nebraska. Any 4-H club may nominate themselves to be the Club of the Month.  The club who is chosen to be Club of the Month will receive a $50 cash card from the Nebraska 4-H Foundation and their story will be showcased on the Nebraska 4-H Foundation’s Facebook, Twitter, and website along with the State 4-H website and Facebook and in their local newspaper.
