Youth for the Quality Care of Animals Training (YQCA) is required for all 4-H members showing BEEF, GOATS, POULTRY, RABBITS, SHEEP, OR SWINE at County and State Fair.  

You will need to register for YQCA certification using the website! Please go to yqcaprogram.org and log in if you are a returning 4-H member or if a new 4-H family, set up your family account and add 4-H members.

2025 Instructor Led Training ($3.00 fee) by Scotts Bluff County 4-H dates:

  • April 15 6:00p.m. Panhandle Research Extension & Education Center You must complete the pre and psot testing.
  • June 12 TBA 

You can train on-line for a cost of $12 at yqcaprogram.org

You can also test out if you are in the first year of Intermediate (age 12) and Senior (age 15) age levels.

Coupon Codes are being proved from a donation from Scotts Bluff County Farm Bureau. Call the office at 308-632-1480 to receive a code.

Members must be Quality Assurance certified by July 1 this year to be eligible to compete at the County Fair.

Steps to download YQCA certificates:

  • Log in to your YQCA family portal at yqcaprogram.org 
  • Click on your blue name button on the top right hand side of the web page.
  • Click on Course Certificates
  • Download your course certificates 
  • Email the downloaded certificates OR send a CLEAR picture to  abrown132@unl.edu.

WE NEED THESE COURSE CERTIFICATES RETURNED NO LATER THAN JULY 1ST OR YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO SHOW AT THE SCOTTS BLUFF COUNTY FAIR, OR STATE FAIR.
