Welcome to Nebraska Extension - Richardson County
Nebraska Extension in Richardson County provides the community with research-based information and educational programs from the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. These educational programs, delivered via a variety of methods, are offered through a federal, state and county partnership agreement.
With offices serving 93 counties across the state, Nebraska Extension is able to provide locally focused educational programs and expertise in the areas of agriculture, natural resources, nutrition, healthcare and technology.
Our county office can connect you with regional Nebraska Extension educators who can help answer your questions about gardening, 4-H programs, pesticide application and more. We offer a wide variety of classes, workshops and trainings throughout the year for youth, families, farmers, ranchers and businesses within the community.

Kaytlyn Kennedy
Associate Extension Educator, 4-H Youth Development
Kaytlyn Kennedy has worked with Nebraska Extension-Richardson County since 2013. She grew up on a family farm in Colorado, where her passion for agriculture and 4-H began. Kaytlyn has a passion for teaching ag literacy and leadership skills to today's youth. Kaytlyn says her favorite part about 4-H is "watching youth find their spark and passions through project exploration."
Jami Ankrom
Extension Assistant, 4-H Youth Development
Jami Ankrom has been with Nebraska Extension-Richardson County since 2012. Before her time here, Jami worked as an Extension summer intern in the Lancaster County office for four summers. Jami grew up in Lincoln where she started her 4-H journey. Jami enjoys teaching STEM and college readiness in the school districts. Jami's says her favorite things about 4-H are "teaching youth confident skills they will use in their future and building relationships with 4-H families."
