Diamond Clover Award - Due January 15
We are excited to offer the Diamond Clover Program in Richardson County as an incentive to 4-H'ers that are actively involved in their clubs and in their community. The Nebraska 4-H Diamond Clover Program is designed to encourage 4-H youth to engage in a variety of projects and activities that will enable members to acquire the life skills necessary to lead successful lives as competent, caring and contributing citizens. Above & Beyond Award - Due January 15
The Above & Beyond Award is awarded to youth who have completed their Above & Beyond point sheet and have reached the threshold of the Above Award recognition or the Beyond Award recognition. This program was designed to enable youth to be recognized for providing outstanding contributions to the 4-H program in Richardson County. Above & Beyond Points will come from events attended from January 1 through December 31 and will be awarded at the Junior Fair Awards Program the following July. Applications are due January 15. Governor's Agriculture Excellence Award - Due April 1
The Nebraska 4-H Foundation’s Governor’s Agricultural Excellence Awards, sponsored by the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA,) recognizes 4-H clubs for the work of the individuals in the club and the community service work of the entire club. The intent is to increase 4-Hers’ awareness of agricultural careers and entice them towards such careers. Recognition is in the form of a $500 check issued to the club’s treasury to be used as described in the award application form completed by the club. National 4-H Youth in Action Award - Due April 1
The 4-H Youth in Action program recognizes four confident young leaders in the core pillar areas: agriculture, civic engagement, healthy living, and STEM. Each pillar winner will experience an exciting year of telling their 4-H story and celebrating their leadership. Each winner also receives a $5,000 scholarship. One pillar winner will be selected as the 4-H Youth in Action National Award Winner and will receive an additional scholarship. More information can be found on the National 4-H website.
Achievement Application - Due October 1
The Nebraska 4-H Annual Achievement Application has replaced the Career Portfolio. The Achievement Application closely resembles questions asked on college applications and information included on resumes, better preparing 4-H'ers for college and career readiness while keeping record of their achievements. All 4-H participants are encouraged to complete this application for acknowledgement of their achievements. This application is the standard application form used for the selection of state award winners, including delegates to National 4-H Congress and National 4-H Conference, as well as Nebraska 4-H Foundation scholarshipo award recipients. This application is required to apply for Nebraska 4-H Foundation Scholarships. For more information visit the State 4-H website.

Nebraska 4-H Foundation Scholarships (via Achievement Application) - October 1
The Nebraska 4-H Foundation provides 4-H members the opportunity to apply for scholarships. All scholarship applications must be submitted via the Annual Achievement Application, which is due October 1. Youth Richardson County 4-H Booster Scholarship - Due January 15 and October 1
The Richardson County 4-H Council will accept applications from youth for assistance attending 4-H sanctioned or 4-H sponsored events. Priority will be given to those going to non-Richardson County sponsored events. Money will be awarded after successful attendance of the event. Award recipients will write a brief summary or verbally report to the Council on their experience. A list of itemized expenses (i.e. entry fee, mileage, etc.) will be required to determine the exact scholarship amount. Up to 10 scholarships with a possible maximum of $100 each may be awarded. Multiple scholarships may be awarded to a single applicant for multiple events (please apply on separate forms). The Youth Richardson County 4-H Booster Scholarship application is due April 15. Adult Richardson County 4-H Scholarship - Due April 15
The Adult Richardson County 4-H Booster Scholarship is to be used for leadership or volunteer training (this includes Shooting Sports Certification Workshops). Scholarships will be awarded accordingly: Up to 3 scholarships at $60 each; or 2 scholarships at $90 each; or 1 scholarship at $100. Project Assistance Scholarship - Dune June 15
The Richardson County 4-H and Extension Foundation offers up to six $50 scholarships for 4-H'ers, ages 8-18 years, to assist with costs associated with making projects and/or participating in project areas. Limit one scholarship per exhibitor. Scholarship recipients will be notified on or before July 15 of the current year. In order to receive funds, projects must be successfully exhibited at the current year's Richardson County Junior Fair. Funds will be mailed after completion of the Junior Fair. Jean I. Nutzman 4-H Memorial Scholarship - Due June 15
The Jean I. Nutzman 4-H Memorial Award recognizes excellence among Richardson County 4-H members participating in static project areas. One $50 scholarship is awarded for junior exhibitors (ages 8-13) and one $50 scholarship is awarded for senior exhibitors (ages 14-18). Applicants must write an essay about their experience in the static project area of choice. More information can be found on the application. Award applications are due on June 15. Jean I.
