- Red - Meets minimum standards; average quality
- White - Several deficiencies found
The Grand Champion (purple & white) is awarded to the highest quality Purple ribbon winner in each category.
The Reserve Grand Champion (pink & white) is awarded to the second highest quality Purple ribbon winner in each category.
Polk County uses the Danish Ribbon System based on the quality of the product.
