Part 107 Drone Test Prep Course
Nebraska Extension will be offering one-day (eight hour) courses across the state to prepare individuals to pass the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aeronautical Knowledge Exam required to receive a Part 107 remote pilot certification or license to fly drones for commercial applications.
Trainings in Grand Island at the Hall County Extension Office, 3180 W Hwy 34:
- June 27 (Friday) - Pre-register by June 23
- August 8 (Friday) - Pre-register by August 4

2025 Small Business Conference
The fourth annual Nebraska Small Business Conference is coming to Grand Island, Lincoln, and Omaha in August. Focused on entrepreneurship education, the conference will be held in English and Spanish and caters to new entrepreneurs through seasoned business owners. Centered on this year’s theme, "Adaptation. Innovation. Evolution." keynote speakers, industry experts and successful entrepreneurs, will share personal experiences, innovative strategies, and creative tools to help strengthen Nebraska businesses. Attendees will also be able to network with other entrepreneurs.

Midwest FEEDS Practicum
Join us for the Midwest FEEDS (Forage, Education, and Efficiency in Diversified Systems) Practicum, a new hands-on, multi-session educational program designed to support midwestern operations that integrate crops and livestock. This program follows the annual production cycle, similar to the Nebraska Ranch Practicum, but is specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of the Corn Belt.
