Program Information

Join us for hands-on learning designed especially for homeschool families!

Each session includes:

  • 4-H hands-on curriculum for Grades 2-6
  • Story Time hosted by the Library for PreK-1st Grade
  • Opportunities for siblings to learn at their level at the same time

Location: Beatrice Public Library

  • Story Time (PreK-1st Grade): Story Time Room
  • 4-H Program (2nd-6th Grade): Conference Room

This program is free and open to homeschool families.

Embryology

APRIL 3 & APRIL 17

10:30 a.m. - Noon

Students will:

  • Set eggs in an incubator
  • Learn about the life cycle of chickens
  • Explore basic genetics
  • Candle eggs and observe development

Outdoor Education

MAY 1 & MAY 22

10:30 a.m. - Noon

Students will:

  • Learn about trees and plant identification
  • Explore Nebraska's natural resources
  • Build appreciation for the outdoors
  • Participate in hands-on environmental activities
