The University of Nebraska Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education Center provides a wide array of research projects and educational programs. The University of Nebraska Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education Center was formerly the University of Nebraska's Agricultural Research and Development Center near Mead, Nebraska.
Extension programs focus on Livestock Systems, Early Childhood, Horticulture, Landscape, and Environmental Systems, Community Vitality Initiative, Cropping and Water Systems, Food, Nutrition & Health, and 4-H Youth Development. Learn more about these programs in the menu bar on this site.

Extension offers programs and resources for disaster preparedness and recovery, including livestock, crops, health and wellness, property damage, youth and families, finances, tornado clean-up and more. -
Whether it’s insect and pest control, composting, selecting the right plants for your backyard or acreage, Extension has a variety of programs and resources dealing with community environments. -
Programs are available throughout Nebraska to help meet the needs of families and children. NEP helps limited-resource families learn to prepare nutritious and safe foods while stretching their food dollars. Qualifying adults learn through small groups at agency or community sites, or individually through home visits, mail lessons or phone consultations. -
Nebraska Extension’s “Co-Parenting for Successful Kids” is a research-based education class designed to help separating and divorcing parents cope with divorce and custody. The class is offered on-site at four locations in Nebraska, and online.
