Nebraska Extension offers excellent classes, workshops and educational information on a variety of topics at the local Extension Office.  Take a look at our current options:

Ag Land Management Webinars ... a series of videotaped webinars regarding real estate & financial trends, the latest cash rent information, leasing issues and considerations, best practices for negotiating, farm succession and more.  

The Nebraska 4-H Public Speaking Contest helps youth learn and practice skills that are beneficial for a lifetime in their personal and professional lives.  Developing self-confidence and effective public speaking skills are two goals of  the public speaking contest.    

Registrations are due by April 2nd, 2021  The County Contest will be held at the Cass County Fairgrounds on Sunday, April 11th @ 2 p.m.

2021 western lambing and kidding school Feb. 6 near Bayard

Lincoln, Neb. —The 2021 Western Lambing and Kidding School on Saturday, Feb. 6, near Bayard, will feature a farm tour, hands-on demonstrations, and presentations by expert speakers.

The school, sponsored by the Nebraska Sheep & Goat Producers and Nebraska Extension, will run from 9:15 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Julie Kappen Farm, 10803 Rd 89, Bayard, and Bobby Jo’s Branding Iron, 533 Main, Bayard.
