Marathon Kids is a national running program designed to motivate kids by utilizing running logs, boost their activity, and introduce them to the joy of running (marathonkids.org)! Here at Nebraska Extension, we are offering a virtual Marathon Kids club, so youth and their families across Nebraska can be active and gain confidence through completing the distance of a marathon, one mile at a time!

**NDA Order Eases Restrictions on Pesticide Applicator License Holders
April 13, 2020 – Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Director of the Nebraska Dept. of Agriculture (NDA) issued an Order to aid pesticide applicators whose licenses are up for renewal.

Specifically, this order does the following:

We understand that many of you were looking forward to our spring events, we were too. However, there are many people working hard to give you learning experiences through informational webinars and online events. Check our events calendar for the upcoming sessions full of fun, education, and resources. We hope to be back to normal soon but in the mean time, stay safe & stay well.

Even though we cannot invite you in for a while, our office is OPEN to receive your phone calls.

You can reach us at 402-267-2205 Monday -Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Join us for our Take Five Friday series every week starting Friday, March 27th at 10:30 a.m. for Take Five Friday! We know there are plenty of AWESOME resources out there for your youth to learn their reading, writing, and arithmetic so we want to offer a time for your youth to exercise their social-emotional skills. During our new live stream series, Take Five Friday, youth will engage with their fellow 4-Hers LIVE for 30 minutes every Friday. We want this to be a time for youth to recharge in a fun, educational, safe, and socially distant way!

As you know, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has declared the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak a pandemic. Nebraska Extension has canceled all in-person training, including chemigation and pesticide applicator training, starting March 16, 2020.

I want you to know that the Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP) Office Team will do everything possible to accommodate those that are inconvenienced by this situation and we ask for your patience during this difficult time.
