Hastings Parks and Recreation Department is hosting several presentations by Nebraska Extension Personnel and NE Forest Service about care of Gardens, Lawns, Trees, Landscapes and Plants. Held on Mondays in March and early April of 2022 Pre-registration is required.
The Horticulture, Landscape, and Environmental Systems team is pleased to share that the GROBigRed Virtual Learning Series will be returning for 2022. The GROBigRed Virtual Learning Series from Nebraska Extension kicks off on February 24 with a 6-week series ‘Growing Fruit in the Home Garden’. Join us at 6:30pm CT each Thursday for two short presentations and an opportunity to ask your pressing garden questions.

Adams County 4-H Awards

The 4-H Council has adapted the award process to try to fit the needs of our county.  Adams County Awards entries are due in the Extension Office the First Monday in October by 5:00 PM. This deadline is for the Award Application, Adams County Achievement Application, Golden Clover, and Diamond Clover applications.

Adams County 4-H Members have the opportunity to participate in county and state awards and opportunities.  A 4-H’er will need to complete each application that fits the awards that they would like to be considered.

We are committed to working with Adults to support the development of young children in your care. Early Childhood Education Professional Development Programs, Professional Development In-Services Online, CHIME Program, ECHO Program, Children Thrive Outside Challenge, Fit and Healthy Kids
