General Rules
- Exhibitors must furnish their own cage or tank, feed and water.
- Animals shall be free of fleas, ticks, mites, lice, or other parasites. Animals shall be free of contagious diseases. Any animal showing signs of parasites or disease will not be judged.
- Ferrets must be vaccinated for rabies. Proof of vaccinations must be sent in with fair registrations using the provided 4-H vaccination form: You NEED to turn in this form by July 1 to the Extension Office.
- All exhibits must be attended and properly cared for throughout the fair.
- Each exhibitor will meet with the superintendent as they check in to go over Barn Rules.
- Exhibitor must be present for judging small animals.
- Exhibitors are limited to four (4) entries.
- Exhibits are composed of the animals and the cage or tank (1-3 animals per exhibit). The exhibit will be judged as a whole; both animal(s) and the display facility will be considered during the judging.
- No animal with nursing babies will be allowed.
- The following criteria will be considered in judging the exhibit: animal health, condition or cage, safety of display (for animals and viewers), appropriate environment, proper food and water facilities, and visual aids (posters, stories, collages, etc.) describing the display.
