Youth and adults gathered June 26-28th for the annual Richardson County 4-H Shooting Sports Competition.
4-H’ers competed in shotgun trap on Friday; small-bore pistol and rifle, BB, and air pistol and rifle on Saturday; and archery on Sunday.
Special thanks to the Southeast Nebraska Gun Club, Falls City Police Department, the Richardson County Ag Society, and the Falls City Area Jaycees for allowing us to use their facilities for these events.
All awards were provided by the Richardson County 4-H Boosters.
Junior Shotgun - Champion and purple ribbon went to Audrey Scrivens. Reserve Champion and purple ribbon went to Turner Dunn. Chase Dishong was awarded a blue ribbon.
Senior Shotgun – 16 Yard - Champion and purple ribbon was awarded to Trayce Stutheit. Reserve Champion and purple ribbon went to Norman McHenry. Cole Schawang, Jayme Ewers, Thomas Aitken, Weston Snoke, and Wyatt Coonce also received purple ribbons. Blue ribbons were awarded to Elijah Leyden and Vaden Leyden
Senior Shotgun – Handicap - Champion and purple ribbon went to Trayce Stutheit. Reserve Champion and purple ribbon went to Norman McHenry. Jayme Ewers, Thomas Aitken, and Vaden Leyden also received purple ribbons. Receiving blue ribbons were Cole Schawang, Weston Snoke, and Wyatt Coonce. Elijah Leyden received a red ribbon.
Junior Small-Bore Rifle - Champion and purple ribbon went to Turner Dunn. Reserve Champion and purple ribbon went to Elise DeJonge. Audrey Scrivens was also awarded a purple ribbon. Elizabeth Robison and Halle DeJonge received a red ribbon.
Intermediate Small-Bore Rifle - Champion and blue ribbon went to Cale Zentner.

Intermediate BB - Champion and purple ribbon went to Elise DeJonge. Reserve Champion and purple ribbon went to Lily Kopf. Callan Scrivens, John Casey, and Rylee Kreifels also received purple ribbons. A blue ribbon was awarded to Baker Hamilton, Colby Dunn, Halle DeJonge, and Turner Dunn. Charles Wamsley, Elizabeth Robison, Emma Goff, and Harley Goff received red ribbons. Conner Gossman, Cy Zentner, and Hunter Driskell received white ribbons.

Intermediate Air Rifle - Champion and purple ribbon went to Elise DeJonge. Reserve Champion and a blue ribbon went to Halle DeJonge. Charles Wamsley also received a blue ribbon. Jase Knapp and Turner Dunn received a red ribbon.

Intermediate Archery Freestyle - Champion and purple ribbon went to Kylie Ramsey. Reserve Champion and purple ribbon went to Leah Goff. Caroline Powell and Turner Dunn also received purple ribbons. Receiving blue ribbons were Charles Wamsley and Elizabeth Robison. Emma Goff and Josslyn Schutte received red ribbons.
Senior Archery Freestyle – Champion and purple ribbon went to Trayce Stutheit. Reserve Champion and purple ribbon went to Josslyn Bangert. Adisen Fischer also received a purple ribbon. Cale Zentner, Colt Leech, and Patricia Howe received blue ribbons. Austyn Munford received a red ribbon.
