Open to all youth (4-H & non-4-H).
All registrations are due 1 week prior to the camps.
Late registrations will be $5.00 more than regular registration fee.

Rangeland Discovery Camp

Date: 5/26/2026

Time: 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. CT 
Cost: $20 
Ages: 8-18
Location: Trenton – TCDC Community Building & area pasture

Youth will explore Nebraska’s rangelands while learning how to identify common prairie grasses and understand their importance to agriculture and wildlife. Participants will collect grasses, learn proper identification techniques, and press and mount specimens to create a 4-H fair exhibit.  
Lunch provided.

Ag Field Day Camp

Date: 6/8/2026

Time: 8:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. CT (time will vary depending on pickup location)
Cost: $20  
Ages: 8-18        
Location: Blackshirt Feeders/Rock Ag Bison

Get ready for a behind-the-scenes Ag adventure! Youth will tour Blackshirt Feeders, an innovative cattle feedlot, to learn how modern technology, animal care, and nutrition come together in beef production. Then the group will head to Rock Ag Bison, where participants will see bison up close and discover how they’re cared for and raised for meat production. This hands-on experience will open eyes to the diversity of agriculture, innovative farming practices, and exciting careers across the Ag industry. Lunch Provided.

Rooted in Ag Camp

Date: 6/22/2026

Ages: recommended for youth going into grades 7-12 
Location: Hayes Center: Hayes County Fairgrounds – Exhibit Hall

“Ag 360: Exploring Hawaii, Alaska & Nebraska in VR” introduces youth to agriculture and technology through the creation of virtual reality (VR) tours. Students learn about local agriculture, create tours, and publish their work for public viewing. Youth will have the chance to emerge themselves in local agriculture and ask questions of ag professionals while learning about both VR Tour creation and local agriculture. This all-day workshop is recommended for youth going into grades 7-12 for the 2026-27 school year, but open to other youth who are interested and developmentally able to participate. Lunch provided.

Animal Science Discover Day

Calling all youth ages 8-18! Join our Youth Animal Science Program and engage with Animal Science faculty and educators. Gain hands-on experience, explore careers in the animal industry, and expand your knowledge in an exciting and interactive environment! Lunch provided

Fishing Day Camp

Date: 6/11/2026

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. MT

Ages: 8-18 years old
Location: Rock Creek Fish Hatchery & Rock Creek State Recreation Area

Get ready to cast into adventure! Join us for a fun-filled camp where youth will explore the world of fish and fishing from start to finish. Participants will visit a local fish hatchery to learn how fish are raised, cared for, and released to support our lakes and streams. Then, put those skills into action with a hands-on fishing experience!  Fishing gear is provided. 
Bring your own lunch & water bottle.

Busy Bug Camp

Date: 6/25/2025

Time: 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. CT

Ages: 5-8
Location: TCDC Community Building, Trenton

Kids will get hands-on with the tiny creatures all around us at Busy Bugs Camp! Campers will explore bugs through fun activities and simple discoveries, learning what makes insects special and why they’re important. The fun continues as kids create their own bug-capturing tools, giving them a safe and exciting way to observe insects up close before releasing them back into their habitat.

Babysitting Clinic

Date: 6/4/2026

Ages: must be 10 or older

Do you enjoy young children?  Have you thought about babysitting this summer?  During this clinic youth will learn about the business of babysitting, child development, safety, nutrition, and general care in order to help them become a better babysitter. Lunch provided.

Stack ‘Em High Camp (Clover Kids)

Date: 6/11/2026

Ages: 5-8 years old

Get ready to flip, stack, and create! At Stack ’Em High Camp, kids will learn how to make pancakes from scratch while practicing basic kitchen skills like measuring, mixing, and safe cooking. Then the fun continues with a creative twist—campers will design their own aprons using vegetable stamping, turning everyday veggies into colorful works of art.

It's a Dog Gone Camp

Kids will learn how to care for their pets when it matters most at It’s a Dog Gone Day Camp! Campers will explore the basics of emergency preparedness for pets and create their own pet emergency kit, learning what supplies animals need to stay safe and comfortable during unexpected situations. This hands-on camp builds responsibility, compassion, and confidence—while celebrating the special bond between kids and their pets.

Kids will design and customize their own hats at Burn & Brand Hat Camp! Campers will learn how to safely use wood-burning tools to create unique designs, patterns, and personal brands on hats. This hands-on camp blends creativity, craftsmanship, and safety while giving participants a one-of-a-kind hat to take home and wear with pride.

Recipes for Life

Date: 6/17/2026

Time: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. CT 
Cost: $25 
Ages: 8-18
Location:  Trenton – TCDC Community Building

What would you do if the lights went out? At this hands-on camp, youth will learn how to prepare simple, nutritious meals without relying on electricity. From creating “soups in a jar” to exploring no-power cooking methods, participants will discover practical skills for emergency situations and everyday life. Along the way, youth will learn important food safety practices, including proper storage, handling, and preparation to keep meals safe—even without power. In the afternoon participants will compete in the Life Challenge Contest. The contest portion is free & open to all 4-H members. Youth do not have to participate in the morning learning to be in the afternoon contest. Lunch provided.
