Wilderness Wonders Camp 3rd - 5th grade May 28th or Youth Ages 5-7 May 29th  REGISTRATION

Wilderness Wonders 4‑H Day Camp

To kick off summer, join us on a Treasure Hunt at this year's Wilderness Wonders Camp.

  • May 28, 2026 - Youth entering the grades 3rd and 5th 
  • May 29, 2026 - Youth ages 5-7.
  • Fee:   $50 -which includes lunch, t-shirt, insurance, workshop supplies. 
  • Registration is due May 4th. 
 
  1. FORT ROBINSON HORSE CAMP

     June 11-13, 2026

  1. Fort Robinson,  near Crawford, Nebraska 
  2. Ages 8 & older Fee:  $75 - This includes craft, supper, t-shirt,,
  3.  horse stalls for Thursday and Friday night. 

The annual 4-H Horse Camp will be held at the Fort Robinson State Park near Crawford. 

The sessions include working ranch, horse stretching, riding games, creating a rope halter, and more! 

For youth members 8 and above the fee is $75. This includes craft, supper, t-shirt, horse stalls for Thursday and Friday night.

  TRACTOR SAFETY: JUNE 3RD,  REGISTER BY MAY27TH.  REGISTRATION

  • Ages 14+
  • Certification course for youth who plan to operate tractors this summer. 
  • 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Marvelous Muffins: June 16th Register by June 1st.   REGISTRATION

Marvelous Muffins: Bake it to Fair

  • When: June 16th from 1 -3 pm
  • Where: Sheridan County Extension Office
  • Who: Ages 8+
  • Cost: $15
  • Register by: June 1st

Participants will learn basic baking skills, mix and bake muffins, and experiment with different flavors and mix-ins to create their own unique recipe.

 

 

SHOWMANSHIP BASICS: JUNE 17TH, Register by June 1st   REGISTRATION

Is you goal to win Large Animal Round Robin or think you could use some basic showmanship tips?  Join us after the Livestock Judging for some showmanship pointers.

WESTERN LIVESTOCK CHALLENGE JUNE 17TH, Register day of.  REGISTRATION

Test your livestock judging skills at this local livestock judging contest. This is open to beginners.  Lunch is provided.

JUMP INTO SUMMER: JUNE 22nd.  Register by June 10th.   REGISTRATION

Come create 4 projects in 1 day Youth will create a bookshelf, doormat, tray, and crate ottoman.

STITCH & CREATE: JUNE 29TH .  Register by June 15th.    REGISTRATION

Design a new outfit at this summer workshop. Youth will burn hats design a t-shirts and create a skirt from jean shorts.
