  • A 5% commission is kept by Nemaha County 4-H Council to be used to benefit the livestock 4-H members and livestock facilities.
  • Any animal with a late Animal Identification or Green Fair Entry Form is not eligible for the Premium Sale.
  • Sale is limited to 2 animals per 4-H/FFA exhibitor. They may sell any market beef, any market swine, any market sheep, any market (meat) goats, market rabbits, market poultry, or a pen of three broilers (considered a unit) in any combination, such as: 2 beef, 1 beef and 1 swine, or 1 swine and 1 sheep. Animals will only be eligible to be sold in the premium sale once in their lifetime.
  • Exhibitors must fill out a Premium Sale Entry Form for each animal they plan to take through the Premium Sale.
  • Forms will be available at livestock check-in and must be completed by 5:00 pm the day prior to the Premium Sale. Forms should be placed in the manila folder in the Fair Office labeled “Completed Premium Sale Forms.” It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to make sure he/she is signed up for the Premium Sale. Those who do not sign up by the deadline will not sell.
  • Appropriate 4-H/FFA attire must be worn for the Premium Sale.
  • Market livestock will have to be shown in a valid class at the current year’s Nemaha County Fair by the exhibitor to be eligible for the Premium Sale.
  • Livestock Premium Sale Checks will be held until a written Thank You(s) to your buyer(s) is brought to the Extension Office, addressed with a stamp, and READY to be mailed by Extension staff.
