4-H Club Leaders & Volunteers

Gage County 4-H Club Leader Resources | Gage County 4-H Volunteer Resources
Enrollment: 4-HOnline

All Gage County 4-H leaders & volunteers are required to enroll online every year. Enrollment deadline is June 15. This is a very important piece to how we communicate with our leaders, clubs & volunteers. We appreciate your full participation and encourage leaders & volunteers to update their information regularly so we can send you important 4-H updates and information.

Volunteers

Are you interested in being a direct volunteer?

Direct volunteers are those working directly with youth, such as club leaders and workshop facilitators. Direct volunteers will be asked to complete the following screening process and repeat screening as scheduled.

Anyone interested in being a direct volunteer needs to sign up through 4hOnline. Once signed up you will be directed to a background check website where there is a $16 fee. After this is completed you will have to resign up every year, but the background check will only be performed every 5 years. Direct volunteers also need to complete the volunteer orientation as well. https://4h.unl.edu/volunteer-orientation

Are you interested in being an indirect volunteer?

Indirect volunteers are those supporting 4-H program without directly interacting with youth, such as event helpers, program support roles, and county fair superintendents. Indirect volunteers will be asked to complete the activity worker application.

Anyone interested in volunteering indirectly needs to fill out this indirect volunteer form and return it to the Gage County Extension Office prior to any volunteering.

***NEW for 2025***

All 4-H Direct Volunteers will need to be screened or re-screened through 4hOnline

Also, complete the volunteer orientation https://4h.unl.edu/volunteer-orientation
