Have you ever met a gardener that didn't like to share the fruits of their labor? Are you a gardener that has extra produce and would like to share?
Voices For Food is a community based organization that is working to supply families in need with fresh fruits and vegetables.
Dakota County Voices for Food
This material was funded in part by USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP). The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program provides nutrition assistance to people with low income. It can help you buy nutritious foods for a better diet. To find out more, call 1-800-430-3244.
Produce Grown in Nebraska
Enjoy fresh vegetables and fruits that are in season. In-season produce has more flavor and is usually cheaper. Great sources of seasonal produce include planting a garden and/or shopping at a local farmers market or a local grocery store. Buying local foods help support local farmers and the economy while knowing where your food comes from.
