4-H Grants/Scholarships

Cedar County 4-H Council Senior Scholarship - due April 1

Hands for Larger Service Award (formerly known as the Governor's Agricultural Excellence Award NIFA Grant) - submit application extended to May 15

February Nebraska 4-H Month Promotion Grant Application  -  due April 1

Nebraska State Summer Camp Scholarships - due before registering for the summer camp

Cedar County 4-H Council Project Fund Application - (for clubs) submit project application before any scheduled 4-H Council meeting.  Summary of completed project due by September 15

4-H Council Activity Scholarship Application - due September 15 - (4-H member) scholarship for camp or educational activity attended  (pdf file - 1 page)

4-H Achievement Application  - Cedar County Award Application due September 15
   In addition to the county awards, state projects awards, National 4-H Congress and National 4-H Conference recipents will be chosen from these applications (when submitted to our office by January 2).

Diamond Clover Award Program - due September 15

Livestock Achievement Program - applications due June 15th  and reports are due August 1.  Award recipients will receive recognition at the Nebraska State Fair.

Nebraska 4-H Gives Back - must complete a major service-learning project to benefit community

Clubs of Excellence Award - due September 15
Or you may complete this combined Clubs of Excellence & officers form (this is a fillable form)

Outstanding 4-H Achievement & Service Awards - due September 15

FSA Youth Loan Program -  Need assistance in starting an ag-related project (bucket calf, sheep, swine, seed, etc.) or business venture, check out this program available to help youth finance the many kinds of income-producing agricultural projects.

College Scholarships

Norfolk Beef Expo Scholarship - due October 11, 2024 - for junior and senior students who participated in the 2024 Norfolk Beef Expo

Martha & Don Romeo Scholarship Application  -  due November 30, 2024  (*pdf fillable file - 5 pages)

Nebraska 4-H Foundation Senior Scholarships  -  due January 5, 2025 to our office using the Annual Achievement Application (view for list of all state 4-H scholarships available)

Engler Scholarship - for youth pursuing development of their agricultural entrepreneurial skills, scholarships from $1000-$5000. Application open 10-1-24 until 1-15-25.

CASNR Change Maker Competition - submit 2-minute video, on how you want to make a difference in the world, competition open Dec 1, 2024 until February 1, 2025 for chance to win $1000 CASNR Scholarship

Midwest Dairy Nebraska Scholarships - due March 1, 2025 

Farm Credit Services of America - University and Community College Scholarships

Jarvis Memorial Scholarship - for females attending UNL and residing at Love Memorial Cooperative Residence Hall; application due March 15, 2024
