CYNTHIA THOMSEN SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is sponsored by NEBRASKA Women Involved in Farm Economics (NE WIFE). Nebraska WIFE is a grassroots organization dedicated to improving profitability in production agriculture.
The one-year $2000 scholarship is available to any woman who lives in Nebraska who will begin her FIRST year in a University/Technical/Trade/Community College in a field related to agriculture. The scholarship may be used at the school of the recipient’s choice in Nebraska.
The scholarships will be awarded in two parts. The first half or $1000.00 will be awarded upon proof of college acceptance by August 15, 2025. The second half or $1000.00 will be awarded upon the completion of the first semester with proof that the recipient has a 3.0 GPA and has had 12 hours or more of classes per semester. The recipient is responsible to notify Nebraska WIFE by February 15, 2026 to receive the second half. If above information is not received by the above dates, your scholarship will be forfeited.

FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID
Any student, regardless of income, who wants to be considered for federal, state, and school financial aid programs should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Colleges and career schools use the FAFSA form to determine how much financial aid you’re eligible to receive. The form should be completed for each academic year.
Financial aid at UNL is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Please file the FAFSA Form by the May 1 priority date. If selected for verification, students are encouraged to submit all requested documents by the June 1 document deadline for priority consideration. 4-H YOUTH IN ACTION PROGRAM
Teens aged 14-19 are encouraged to apply to the 4-H Youth in Action Program for the chance to tell their 4-H impact story and win a $5k educational scholarship. 4-H’ers interested in applying are encouraged to attend the information session on February 21 from 6:00-7:00pm to learn about the benefits of the program and how to become a competitive applicant.

DIAMOND CLOVER PROGRAM
The Nebraska 4-H Diamond Clover program encourages 4-H youth to engage in a variety of programs, projects, and activities that will enable youth to acquire skills and abilities that will prepare them for success in the future. The program is designed to reach and recognize all youth engaged in 4-H, from club members and campers to school enrichment, afterschool, and special interest program participants.
At the beginning of the 4-H year, participants plan what to accomplish and at the end of the 4-H year, they report on their completed accomplishments. Successful completion of a level’s Plan & Report form results in a 4-H youth earning that level of the Diamond Clover program.

NEBRASKA 4-H FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS
The Nebraska 4-H Foundation utilizes the Achievement Application for awarding scholarships. Youth interested in applying for these scholarships must make that designation on their application, as well as complete the additional section titled “Nebraska 4-H Foundation Scholarships.” Additional materials are required for youth applying for scholarships, including a copy of current transcripts and ACT/SAT scores. These materials must be submitted digitally along with the completed Achievement Application, which is due January 5th. Scholarship applicants must follow the state-level completion and submission procedures. WOMEN IN AGRICULTURE CONFERENCE
The 40th Nebraska Women in Agriculture Conference will be held February 20-21,2025 in Kearney, Nebraska. The Nebraska Women in Agriculture program will award up to 15 scholarships to students to attend the 2025 Nebraska Women in Agriculture Conference.
Any student attending a four-year college/university, two-year college, a vocational/technical school, or a 4-H or FFA member may apply for a scholarship to attend. Applicants will need to prepare an essay that answers the question: “Why do you want to attend the Nebraska Women in Agriculture Conference?” The essay response is limited to 3,000 characters. Applications must be submitted online by February 1, 2025.
