to Domestic Arts Open Class.

Each article may be exhibited one year only. Every article for exhibition must be classified. Exhibitors are limited to two entries in each class except Photography. Photography exhibitors may enter four entries in each class. All entries must be entered on entry day from 8:00 am to 11:00 am and will be released from 8:00 am until 11:00 p.m. on the final day of fair.

BEST IN COUNTY
A rosette will be awarded to the “Best in Needlework” and the “Best in County Quilt” at the County Fair. The “Best in Needlework” and “Best in County, Quilt” exhibits are eligible to be sent to the State Fair. Only one article may be entered from each county and the exhibitor must live in the county he/she is representing. The Superintendent of Open Class at the County Fair must send in with the exhibitor’s name and address.

Exhibits must be uniform pint or quart jars and lids should be uniform. Labeling: The jars should be uniformly labeled. The name of the product, type of pack (hot or cold), processing method and time, pounds of pressure (for low acid products). Exhibitors are limited to two entries per class. Each entry must be a different type of fruit or vegetable.

Class 13A Single Print -Single print mounted on a black or white 8.5” x 6” poster board. Print may be cropped with straight-edge scissors. Print should be no smaller than 3”x4” or larger than 4”x6”.

General Rules:
- Market Animal Open Class: Harlan County Exhibitors 5- 7 years of age, as of January 1st are eligible to participate. Premiums offered are for Blue and Red only.
- All participants will be eligible to sell their swine, sheep, or goats in the Harlan County Junior Fair livestock auction.

Lamb Lottery
Lamb Lottery Participants who are enrolled in the lamb lottery will compete as a class and all will be eligible to then compete in respected Market Lamb classes.
How it works:
* 4-H’er signs by April 5th of the current 4-H year
* Each 4-H’er will receive a quality Lamb during the lamb lottery in May
* The 4-H’er is then responsible for their lamb (feeding, caring, grooming, etc.) to ensure it is ready for Fair, come July.
* How much does it cost? $50 UPFRONT! After the Premium sale, the 4-Her will have $150.00 subtracted from the total amount earned during the livestock auction.
